OUR ORGANIZATION

The Guardian Angels, world’s largest safety organization based in New York City is a non political, non religious and not for profit organization, Guardian Angels volunteers extend their hands to help using the good samaritan concept.

Founder and President Curtis Sliwa started the Guardian Angels in Bronx, New York in 1979. Since then, Curtis Sliwa’s Safety advocacy came into prominence when his volunteers starts to patrol New York subway helping law enforcers to keep the citizens and community safe, they not only patrol the streets but also pick up trash, clean up graffiti under the approving eyes of the city residents. Today, with 28 years of experience in 9 countries and 85 city chapters all over the globe.

The Guardian Angels now provides training, support and community empowerment programs throughout the world focusing on Community Safety, Professional Development for Educators, School-based Anti-Bullying Coursework, and Internet Safety.
